Confession: I genuinely had no idea how versatile Epsom Salt can be until very recently. When I started to look into it, I was blown away by its value. It is the salt of the earth, literally and figuratively! You will be amazed by how many ways you can use this incredible stuff. Just check out the list!
A great tip from Real Advice:
Body Aches- use Epsom Salt to help melt away body aches. Just add 2 cups of Epsom Salt to your bath and soak for at least 20 minutes. Works wonders!
Add Volume to your hair- combine equal parts conditioner and Epsom Salt, apply to your hair and let set for 20 minutes. Then rinse. This will help remove oil from your hair that weighs it down!

Big Beautiful Roses- Add a tablespoon of Epsom Salt around rose beds for big beautiful roses!
Poison ivy relief– Make a relieving cold compress by soaking a cotton washcloth in a solution of Epsom salt and cold water (two tablespoons for every cup of water), apply to the affected area to help relieve irritation and swelling.

Sea salt texturizing hair spray — Combine 1 cup of hot water, 2 tablespoons Epsom salt, 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel and 1/2 tsp conditioner in a spray bottle. Spray salt mixture into hair and scrunch hair with your hand for pretty beachy-waves.

Fabric softener crystals — Mix 4 cups of Epsom salt and 20 drops of essential oil to make DIY fabric softener crystals. Use 1/4 cup per load and add at beginning of wash. What a clever way to use Epsom salt, and also a way to save money!
Cure for common cold — Did you know that Epsom salt baths can speed healing by detoxifying your body and increasing your white blood cell count? Try an Epsom salt bath the next time you feel those first symptoms of a cold.

Fertilizer! Clearly if it helps make your grass green it’s going to be great for fertilizing. Add a little to the soil around your plants, even your household ones. This also acts as a natural insecticide detering insects.
Tile Cleaner! Mix equal parts of Epsom Salt with your liquid dish detergent. This makes a great scrub mixture for all your tile grout on floors and walls.
