Do you like easy camping hacks? If so, the following tips will make your cold-weather camping a lot more enjoyable.
Wear a Hat
Seems simple but heat can escape out of the top of your head. Keep it covered especially while you sleep.
Insulating Pad
Keep off of the ground by adding a sleeping, insulation pad underneath your sleeping bag.
Water Bottles
Fill a water bottle with hot water, wrap it in a piece of dry clothing and stick it in you sleeping bag before you head to bead.
Ski Masks
Don’t put your head in the sleeping bag, your breath will create condensation on the inside of the bag and make you colder. Instead, use a ski mask to keep your head, face, and ears warm while you sleep.
Avoid the Sweat
One you start sweating, take off those layers! You’re clothes will only trap that moisture and make you colder. Stay warm but avoid sweating!
Wind Wall
Use a tarp and tie it between two trees to create a wall to block the wind.
Good Footwear
Having a great pair of waterproof footwear will make camping so much better! If your feet are comfortable, you are comfortable! Also, heat up your socks and boots in your sleeping bag before putting them on.
Gloves Are A Must
Keep your hands warm, and bring a pair of good gloves. Bring extras in case they get wet!
