I love shadowbox picture frames! They’re a wonderful way to showcase photos and mementos from your most recent vacation and they’re a wonderful way to brighten up a boring area of your living space. There’s nothing dark about these shadow box decor ideas! While I love incorporating shadow boxes wherever I can, sometimes I find myself having a hard time deciding what to put inside of them. Fortunately, these decor trends for shadow boxes will give you plenty!
If you don’t have a shadowbox frame already available to tackle this decor trend, I suggest looking for inexpensive ones on Amazon or at Michaels. Below, you’ll find two of my favorite shadowboxes available for purchase online.

Now, let’s get to the fun part: the things to fill them with!
Wine Corks
If you’re an avid wine drinker or associate the bottles of wine you drink with memories, fill your shadow box with your saved corks. You can add to it as you go and it’s fun to watch your collection grow. My wine cork collection includes the cork of the first bottle of wine I had. It was had in France, so it’s dear to my heart!
Ornaments (For Christmas!)
If your shadowbox is large enough to accommodate them, I love the idea of filling it with ornaments for the holidays. Pick a color scheme (maybe even one that matches your tree!) and simply fill! Display your shadowbox on a mantlepiece, end table, or hang on the wall. All you need is a shadowbox big enough.

Flowers
Perfect for Spring, or any time you need a little cheering up, a shadowbox filled with your favorite flower is just the thing. Though you can complete the craft with real flowers, they’ll obviously have a shorter shelf life. Use fake ones instead and secure their stems with a bit of floral foam. This is one of my favorite decor trends!

Scrabble Tiles
Display a sweet message inside your shadow box using scrabble tiles and ordinary craft glue. Spell out anything that you’d like!
Vacation Memories
Create a small display out of your shadowbox and fill it full of vacation photos, keepsakes, or other treasures. It’s always nice to have all of your vacation keepsakes in one spot (like a shadowbox) so nothing gets misplaced over time.
Movie Tickets and Other Collectibles
Are you one of those people who keep all of their movie ticket stubs? Display them in your shadowbox and cut a slit in the top so you can easily add to your collection over time. Shadowboxes are one of the best ways to display small collections.
