DIY Ideas For A Pot Rack

My brother has officially been in his new home for a week now! And while we are still fully occupied with remodeling areas of his house, it’s been so fun to see what we have tackled so far come together. However, just the other day we realized that he doesn’t have enough cabinet space for all his pots and pans. So you know what that means, we have to build him a DIY pot rack! Keep reading below to see some of our ideas for a DIY pot rack..

If you’re really short on space, create a DIY pot rack out of a metal shelf. If you choose a shelf like the one pictured, you can hang your pots and pans on the underside of it! Use S hooks for hanging, and make sure that the shelf can support the weight of your pots.

I love simple solutions! Slightly similar to the previous idea, it’s easy to create a DIY pot rack like the one below in an hour or less. Use items found around the house like a curtain rod and simple S hooks. Mount the curtain rod above a stove or sink and use the S hooks to hang the pots. Again, double check that your rack can handle the weight of what’s on it.  It would be awful to be woken up by a clatter of falling pots and pans in the middle of the night!

This is one of my favorite DIY pot racks on the list! Use scrap wood to build a small frame like the one pictured below. Once fully assembled, use hooks and a metal chain (or rope, depending on preference!) to hang the rack. I think these look great over a kitchen island! S hooks are great for hanging!

This is one of my favorite ideas on the list because it’s so practical! Head down to your local thrift shop or salvage yard for a few antique window frames. Not only can you do tons of other DIY projects with them, but you can also use them to make a pretty cool pot rack. Simply remove the glass, and hang in your kitchen with something sturdy. Use S hooks to hang the pots because they’re simply the best!
