Adding a headboard to your room is a great way to add style and your own personal touch. There are so many fun and unique ideas for headboards that I can’t decide which one I want to put in my room!

An old door is easy to update and can be placed in a number of ways to make it personal and adorable. I love how these doors that My Desert Cottage used have been painted to add a shabby chic feel to the room.

If you have access to a good flea market, shutters can be easy to find, like these ones Cottage in the Oaks used.  Shutters give off a very Southern vive and make me want to just relax in bed with some lemonade and a good book.

This simple pallet upcycled into a headboard unites rustic and elegant elements and is super easy to do.The Pretty Blog pairs this pallet headboard with more modern elements for a super trendy look. My husband would love this!

Tufted headboards are all the rage right now, and can cost over a thousand dollars. Homemade By Carmona has a great tutorial on how to get this look for yourself, but not break the bank.
